Baan runs in marathon

BAAN is not going to London tomorrow, but runs in the Pontefract Marathon Handicap at Pontefract on Monday. It is over 2 miles 5 1/2 furlongs. he stays this distance well over hurdles so the trip should not be a problem for him especially now he is older. If you look back at his form he was 3rd over 2 1/4 miles at this course in 2009 so he handles the track. He is returning from a break but is fit and in great form at home. He will have every assistance from the saddle as champion jockey Paul Hanagan is on board so hopefully he will put up a bold show on Monday.
