POTENZA heads to Haydock tomorrow in search of some suitable ground. He ran a good race for us on his yard debut at the end of the last turf season over 12 furlongs on very soft ground. We are dropping back to 10 furlongs tomorrow for his first run since racing resumed as he can be a bit keen so we hope the pace of the race will help him to settle. We did run him at Southwell earlier in the year but he did not handle the surface there so you can put a line through that run. Ryan Tate rode him last year for us and takes the ride on him again tomorrow. The going report suggests it will be on the soft side of good which will suit him well so we hope he can make the long there journey worthwhile.
