Two runners at two courses tomorrow

ENVOY runs on the all weather at Kempton tomorrow whilst SEE THE CITY heads up the A1 to Pontefract. ENVOY is well drawn in stall 1 of the 11 runners and Ryan Tate rides him. It is a bit of an exploratory mission tomorrow to establish if he acts on the surface. He has run once before on the all weather at Chelmsford at the beginning of the season over 10 furlongs where he didn't run that well but he is stepping up to 12 furlongs this time which should help him. We have not been able to run him on the turf all summer as he does not like fast ground so it will give us more options if he acts on this surface. He has been working well and is a useful performer on his day but he carries top weight and will have to give weight away to some improving 3 years olds which may not be easy. He may go hurdling this winter but we will have a better idea of his winter campaign after his run tomorrow.
SEE THE CITY runs in a 12 furlong apprentice handicap and will be ridden by Aled Beech. There is a small field of 8 runners and he is drawn 5. He has had a break and is a much stronger horse this year. We have been looking after him as we feel he has a future and we have not been able to run before now due to the fast ground. The plan is to run him over hurdles this winter but we want to give this run and possibly another run the flat before then.
