We are sending 2 horses up the A1 to Wetherby on Wednesday. MEDIAN runs in a mile median auction race and is drawn 9 of the 11 runners. Her second run on the turf at Nottingham over this trip was a much better effort than her first run on the all weather at Wolverhampton over 7 furlongs. She was still slightly green but the penny dropped in the straight and she stayed on in the closing stages. She wasn't helped by a wide draw and unfortunately hasn't been given a good draw again this time. In her work since Nottingham she has shown signs of improvement and is learning all the time so hopefully she can show that on the racecourse on Wednesday.
ICE SLICE carries top weight in a mile handicap and is well drawn in stall 3 of the 16 runners. We think the track should suit him as he goes well on sharp left handed tracks, the only slight question mark is whether it will be too stiff for him. The good draw and the fast ground should help him though. He has had one run this year and is in good form at home. He will be ridden by Sebastian Woods who will take a valuable 5 pounds of his back so we hope he can run well.
