Tate on Major Crispies tomorrow

MAJOR CRISPIES runs in a 7 furlong apprentice handicap at Lingfield tomorrow and Ryan Tate rides him. He got on well with him at the beginning of last year so let's hope they can form a good partnership again tomorrow. He will be wearing blinkers for the first time, he works well in them at home so we will see if they can make a difference. We were baffled by his last run but hopefully he just wasn't suited by Chelmsford City track. He is a fast ground horse and the slow surface there may not have been to his liking. If you can ignore that run then he must have a chance. His best trip may be 6 furlongs but he has form over 7 furlongs and this distance at Lingfield should be fine for him. It is the lowest class race he has run in for a while so hopefully he will appreciate that and run a big race tomorrow.
