Chance for Elm's Schoolboy at Southwell

Monday, November 21, 2005

ELM’S SCHOOLBOY runs tomorrow at Southwell in a banded race over 8 furlongs. He did not enjoy the best of runs last time out as he had a bad draw and was forced to run wide the whole way. Tomorrow there are only 9 runners which is quite surprising with the current number of horses wanting to run on the all-weather. He definitely has a chance as he is a course and distance winner and it is not a great contest on paper. The slight worry is that he is competing against older horses as there are no suitable races currently for 3 year olds only.

BLUEBERRY TART has been itching to have a run for ages now but keeps getting balloted out. She has an entry on Friday at Wolverhampton in a 10 furlong maiden race. There are 41 entries and she needs 8 horses to come out to get a run. She is in really good form at home so if she does get in the race she should run well.
