AVIATOR and ICE SLICE both head to Kempton tomorrow. AVIATOR only faces 4 opponents in a 1 mile 3 furlong apprentice handicap. He will be wearing blinkers again but different tactics will be employed. He was very free in blinkers when he first wore them for us so we tried holding him up which didn't seem to work. He will also be wearing a cross noseband tomorrow as this seems to help him settle at home. If he can bounce back to his continental form you can not rule him out in such a small field.
ICE SLICE is stepping up in trip to 1 mile 3 furlongs for the first time. he ran well at Kempton last time out over a mile, he was staying on at the end and looked as if he needed further. Ideally we would have tried him over 10 furlongs but there was no suitable race. He has won over a mile on soft ground so you would be hopeful that this trip on the polytrack would be within his compass. He is in good form at home so can hopefully run well tomorrow.
