Major on parade at July meeting

MAJOR CRISPIES runs in the 6 furlong Heritage Handicap at the Newmarket July meeting tomorrow. This is his first run in a handicap off his current rating of 100, he is rated a lot higher than his last run in this grade. He won a handicap in February off a mark of 79 so he will find this a lot tougher but has improved significantly since then. You can put a run through his last run at Royal Ascot as that was too good a race for him, he was also drawn on the wrong side and he didn't see out the 7 furlongs. On his previous runs though you could not rule him out. It is hard to judge what the ground will be like by tomorrow as rain is forecast, hopefully they will get some to make it perfect ground. If the ground does become softer than that he will still run as we may aswell find out how he copes with these conditions when the track is so close to home.
