Dancer needs career best tomorrow

SPA'S DANCER was put up 5 pounds for his gallant second in the Zetland handicap so will be running off his highest ever mark at York tomorrow. He runs in a 9 furlong 0-105 handicap and he is drawn 2 of the 13 runners. There aren't that many races over this trip but it could be ideal for him. The fact that Royal Ascot is next week has meant that this is not the strongest handicap for this grade. Luke Morris takes the ride and he was third on him at Lingfield earlier in the year so he does know the horse. The ground is a concern though, he will not run if the ground become faster than good. There are thundery showers forecast so let's hope these materialise and he can take his chance. It will be tough off this mark but he certainly deserves to get his head in front after some good performances in more competitive races than the one tomorrow.
