Great Efforts in Defeat!

Although not actually visiting the Winner's Enclosure in the last two days, the horses are still running out of their skins. SPA'S DANCER ran a great race at York having got quite badly left at the start and was beaten less distance than he got left. He probably ran right up to his best form and had he not lost several lengths at the start he must have been involved in the finish.

TIGHT LIPPED followed up by running a storming race at Newmarket and finished 2nd in the same race he was 3rd in last year. He has certainly bounced back to form with a vengeance. He will go on to Sandown next in the same race that he won last year on Brigadier Gerard night at the end of the month.

MAJOR CRISPIES continued the theme this afternoon when finishing a close 3rd in another Listed race, the Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury. This looked a good class Listed race and he was beaten less than a length.

Not to be outdone, WILY FOX ran a fantastic race at Aintree's evening meeting to finish 2nd in a Class 3 handicap over 3 miles for the first time. He certainly got the trip and this, off a mark of 119, was undoubtedly his best run to date.

We are very proud of them all.
