The 3 runners in the next 2 days are racing for a total prize money of £250,000 so it is a very big Easter weekend for the yard. SCOTTISH STAR and WILY FOX run in races worth £50,000 and MAJOR CRISPIES runs in a £150,000 race.

SCOTTISH STAR starts proceedings, he runs in the 12 furlong All Weather Championship Apprentice Handicap at Lingfield. He has a great record at the track this year and showed in his last run that he is up to running in this grade of race. He is drawn 9 of the 11 runners but it shouldn't be a problem over this trip. Ryan Tate takes the ride and he gets on very well with the horse and would be one of the better jockeys in this race. The horse seems to be in very good form, he is a course and distance winner and must have a good chance tomorrow.

MAJOR CRISPIES runs at the same meeting in the 7 furlong All Weather 3 year old Championship race. He is also drawn wide in stall 12 of 14 but he has run well from a wide draw before. He is meeting the 2 horses that finished in front of him last time, ERTIJAAL and AMERICAN HOPE, but he was only beaten a total of 1 1/2 lengths so hasn't got too much to find. They both have the advantage of low draws. MAJOR CRISPIES does seem to be improving with every run and did his best bit of work at home recently so we are hopeful of a big run from him.

WILY FOX goes to Haydock on Saturday for the Jockey Club Grassroots Series Final, a 2 mile 4 furlongs handicap hurdle. He has been aimed at this race specifically after winning one of the qualifying races at Warwick. He won't get many opportunities to run in a race with this much prizemoney on offer. He does need 4 horses above him in the handicap to come out of the race but he would be very unlucky not to get in. He has been in great form all season so can hopefully give his owners another good day out on Saturday.
