There are 4 runners from the yard this weekend and 3 of those are at the opening flat meeting of the turf season at Doncaster. SPA'S DANCER leads proceedings in the Lincoln Handicap. The ground has come right for him as he loves soft ground. He will be running off his highest ever handicap mark but Ryan Tate rides him and claims a useful 5 pounds. This will be his first run for us on a straight track on the right ground, we aren't sure if he is as good on a straight track as a turning track but he has not had the right underfoot conditions to prove that yet. His last run was over 10 furlongs so is best ignored, his all weather run before that over a mile has worked out well. The horse is in good form at home and goes there with a solid each way chance.
WILY FOX is also running off his highest ever handicap mark at Uttoxeter over hurdles tomorrow. He went up 5 pounds for his recent win so on the face of it has a hard task. He does seem in the form of his life at home though and the ground will be ideal for him so you can not rule him out. There are only 10 runners and Jack Quinlan rides him again.
TIGHT LIPPED runs in a 10 furlong handicap at Doncaster on Sunday, he is proven over this trip and loves cut in the ground. He is possible a better horse going right handed though but has won on a left handed course. There is a long straight at Doncaster so the track should not be an issue. He is fit and well so goes there with a good each way chance.
The rain will definitely help BAAN'S chances in the concluding 12 furlong Amateur Rider's handicap at Doncaster on Sunday. The trip is a bit on the short side for him these days but with rain softened ground there will be more of an emphasis on stamina. He is back down to a winning handicap mark and is a better horse on the turf so is not without a chance.
