The 2 year old fillies GREEN MUSIC and POSTAGE STAMP are running at local tracks this week. GREEN MUSIC heads up the road to Yarmouth tomorrow to run in a 6 furlong nursery. There are 16 runners and she is drawn in the middle. This will be her first run in a handicap and her first on soft ground. She has worked on similar ground at home and appears to handle it well. She threw a splint after her last run at Newmarket so that is why she has been off the track since then. There is a slight concern that the ground might test her fitness coming back after a break but she is a filly who has always shown us something at home and off a mark of 65 she should have a chance.
POSTAGE STAMP makes her racecourse debut at Newmarket on Wednesday. She is running in a 7 furlong median maiden race and there are 15 runners. She will definitely like the ground and she looks a nice filly for next year. Graham Lee rides her and he rode PRECINT for the same owner to finish third this time last year at the same track. Let's hope this is a good omen and POSTAGE STAMP can run an encouraging race.
