SPA'S DANCER and MAJOR CRISPIES have both been declared to run at Goodwood tomorrow but we will keep an eye on the ground. It will obviously dry out considerably today but there is more rain forecast tomorrow. MAJOR CRISPIES is a fairly definite runner unless the ground becomes too soft as he likes quick ground. The form of all his previous races are working out well, he was third to TOORMORE, winner of the Group 2 Vintage Stakes, on his debut. The ground was good/soft that day so he can handle some cut in the ground. He is drawn 1 tomorrow which is not ideal, a draw more in the middle of the field would have been preferable. He is in good form and must have a chance on his best form but there are 22 runners so will need some luck in running.
SPA'S DANCER will only run if the ground is good or softer. His last run in the Hunt Cup can be ignored as the ground was too fast that day, he has done nothing wrong in his previous runs this season. He would have a good chance if the ground is suitable. He has shown that he is good enough to win a race of this type if he has conditions to suit. Let's hope the ground comes right for him tomorrow.
