Wester Lodge comes good at Bath
Tuesday, July 5, 2005
James Eustace was delighted with WESTER LODGE’S win at Bath yesterday. He is owned by Mr and Mrs Brewer and he is the first horse to win in their own colours. Unfortunately Mrs Brewer was not there to see her winner but her husband was. WESTER LODGE ran well at Ripon on his last appearance, 50 days ago, but was then a sick horse. He has clearly bounced back well and won nicely yesterday. On paper it was not the strongest of contests but the second horse was well fancied. It is only his sixth racecourse appearance and is still a big baby so should improve further. He should also benefit from a step up in trip in due course. He is a horse with a lovely attitude and temperament and is clearly going the right way.
