Welcome Stranger aims for Listed race

Thursday, June 23, 2005

WELCOME STRANGER ran a gallant race at York from a bad draw and on ground that was not ideal for him. He has come out of the race really well and is all set to run at Windsor on Saturday in a mile Listed race. This is a step up in class and purely on ratings you would not give him a good chance but if the ground stayed fast you couldn’t rule him out. He always does his best and will definitely run unless the forecasted thunder showers develop and change the going dramatically.

There could be 3 runners on Monday at Wolverhampton and Windsor ELM’S SCHOOL BOY and INNPURSUIT do not like fast ground so they are entered on the polytrack at Wolverhampton. INNPURSUIT has run well on this surface before at Lingfield so hopefully he will handle the Wolverhampton surface as well. TOFFEE TREAT is due to run at Windsor in a 5 furlong median maiden. She has shaped up well after her first run and should run a lot better than she did on her debut when she was very green.
