VIKING ROSE travels to Newcastle tomorrow to run in a 7 furlong fillies only handicap. She won over this course and distance at this time of year last season so let's hope she can bounce back to form again tomorrow. We have experimented a bit on her last 2 runs and it hasn't worked so we have reverted to a proven track and distance and dropped her back in class. The ground will be soft but she has form on all types of ground. Luke Morris believes she prefers softer ground these days, she has possibly got fed up with with running on fast ground. There are only 10 runners which will suit her so hopefully she will bounce back to form tomorrow.
BALCARY BAY runs in a mile maiden at Nottingham tomorrow. He ran well first time out at Yarmouth over the same distance on soft ground but was a little disappointing next time out over 10 furlongs on the polytrack at Kempton. He didn't appear to handle the Left handed track. He is back on a right handed track tomorrow and back to a mile on good to soft ground which should all suit him. It is a big field and he is not ideally drawn in 17 of the 17 runners. Let's hope he can show the Kempton form to be wrong and finish closer this time.
