Rain needed for Iron Butterfly tomorrow

Wednesday, August 29, 2012
IRON BUTTERFLY has been declared to run in the 12 furlong handicap at Lingfield tomorrow but only runs if they get the rain that is forecast. The ground needs to be softer than good for her to take her chance. She is a filly we have always liked and just seems to be coming to herself at home. It is her first run in a handicap and she is stepping up in trip. She has always shown plenty of speed at home but is bred to stay but we will find out more tomorrow if she runs.
SAMBA NIGHT also runs at Lingfield tomorrow. The step up in trip last time out didn't work so he is returning to 6 furlongs with a visor on. In theory 6 furlongs at Lingfield on good ground should suit him. DENTON DANCER was declared to run tomorrow but is now a non runner.
