Tight Lipped to have his say at Southwell

Tuesday, August 28, 2012
TIGHT LIPPED runs at Southwell this evening and he looks the type of horse to be suited by the way races are run there and by the surface. He likes soft ground and the fibresand  suits horses who like those conditions. He has been declared to run in a visor to help the jockey and to help to shield him from the kickback. He will need to be in the front rack early on to keep out of the kickback  so the visor should help the jockey to get a good position. It is an apprentice race and he will be ridden by Darren Egan who is one of the best apprentices riding at the moment. The horse is in very good form at home, if he takes to the track he has got a good chance.
BAAN heads to Epsom this afternoon to run in a 12 furlong handicap. He ran well there last time out over an inadequate trip so the step up in distance will suit him and if they have any rain it will help his chances too. He finished strongly last time and is a previous winner at the track. He has got an each way chance at a decent price. Ryan Tate takes the ride on him again.
