A BOY NAMED SUZI sadly failed to make the cut for The Ebor at York tomorrow by one! Very frustrating. However Newmarket have put on an ideal "consolation race" for him. It is a 1 mile 5 furlongs handicap with prizemoney of £40,000. His will not be an easy task as he is now running off a rating of 98 and carries topweight of 10 stone. Let us hope that his fine series of runs in top handicaps this year continues.
PENNYWEIGHT was our first 2 year old runner of the year at Newmarket today. Unfortunately she missed the break badly and had no chance of recovering after that. On a positive note, she behaved very well throughout and is certainly better than she showed today. ALL ON BLACK also made his racecourse debut today at Newmarket. He is a 3 year old gelding owned and bred by Greenstead Hall Racing Ltd. who own A BOY NAMED SUZI and SUZI'S A CLASS ACT. They look to have bred another interesting prospect. Despite being very green and preferring better ground than the fast ground he encountered today, ALL ON BLACK ran a very creditable first race and we were delighted with him.
