A trio of runners

Sunday, July 1, 2012
There are 3 runners over the next 2 days and all would have a chance on there best form. SAMBA NIGHT starts proceedings at Wolverhampton tomorrow afternoon. He ran very well at Yarmouth last time out finishing fourth and the form of the race has worked out well. He seems to find 6 furlongs too far but isn't quite quick enough for 5 furlongs. The race at Wolverhampton is just under 6 furlongs and it is an easy track so it should suit him. He has run well there as a 2 year old over 5 furlongs. The visor has been left on him as he ran well in them last time out. On the form of his last run he should be thereabouts tomorrrow. SUZI'S A CLASS ACT heads for Windsor tomorrow evening to run in a 12 furlong fillies handicap. It is a gamble dropping her back in trip on lat year's form but it seemed an ideal race for her. Any rain that falls will increase her chances. If the ground comes up soft the drop in trip could work well for her but if it remains good she may find 1 or 2 with too much toe. She was second last time out so it would be nice to see her go one better tomorrow. WILY FOX is being stepped up in trip to 2 miles at Kempton on Tuesday evening. Although they went too fast at Windsor over 12 furlongs he settled very well wearing a hood for the first time. He looked that day and on some of his previous form that he could stay further if he can be dropped in and settled early on. He has been wearing the hood at home and is definitely more relaxed in it so hopefully it will have the desired effect again on the racecourse. He has won on the polytrack before so the surface will be fine and there is no reason why the track shouldn't suit him. If he does get the trip then you could see him running well on Tuesday.
