Torran Sound tuned up for tomorrow

Thursday, December 15, 2011

TORRAN SOUND is in good form and must have a good chance at Uttoxeter tomorrow. He has good form at the track including a close third last time out. He was given a good ride by Matt Crawley that day and he takes the ride again, he claims 5 pounds which will help as he is top weight of the 13 runners. The forecast is not good  so there is a morning inspection, hopefully racing will go ahead. The soft ground should not be a problem to TORRAN SOUND as he has run well on very soft ground. The only slight concern could be whether he will stay the trip on such testing ground . If he runs up to his best form he must have a good chance.

THE CAT CREATION ran a very encouraging race yesterday to finish 4th at Newbury on his first appearance on a racecourse. All the other runners had previous experience on the flat so he did extremely well to run so well in this company. He is very much a potential jumper so he looks to have a very bright future. It was particularly exciting for his owner as she also bred him, she had come over from Holland  to see him run . James was slightly worried that the soft ground may have found him out but he stayed on well .
