WILY FOX makes his debut over hurdles at Uttoxeter tomorrow. He has been schooling nicely at home so it will be interesting to see how he takes to it on the racecourse. The ground is good/soft which should be ideal for him. If he takes to hurdles as well on the track as he has shown at home he could have a nice future as a hurdler.
TORRAN SOUND also runs at Uttoxeter in a 2 1/2 mile handicap hurdle. He is a course and distance winner so likes the track. The ground should suit him too as he likes to get his toe in. He has had a break since his last run, which he needed, so he is fresh and well. He will be wearing sheepskin cheekpieces for the first time. He has won with and without blinkers so James thought it was worth trying these to see what he thought. Matt Crawley rides him and takes 5 pounds off his back which will help him as he has never been favourably treated by the handicapper.
