Runners under both codes tomorrow

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

NOVERTON is running in a 7 furlong handicap at Brighton tomorrow. She has not run there before but she is the type who should handle the track. She was a bit disappointing last time out but she has had a break since then and has benefited from it. She has been working nicely at home and has kept her coat well for a filly at this time of year. If she can recapture her earlier form and get a bit of luck in running she would have a chance tomorrow.

DOYENNE DREAM runs over hurdles at Uttoxeter, the same course and distance as her last run. She needed the run that day but ran a respectable race. |It is a handicap tomorrow rather than a novice which should give her a better chance. On the advice of Paddy Brennan, who rode her last time, she will be wearing cheekpieces. They will hopefully help her to concentrate and help the jockey as she can be hard to motivate. She has worn them at home and they have helped so it seems worth a try on the racecourse. She has been working well at home so if she is on a going day and the cheekpieces help she would have a chance.
