Viking Rose still in bloom

Sunday, October 9, 2011
VIKING ROSE has been running well all season and still seems in good form at home so she has a chance at Yarmouth tomorrow. She won over 7 furlongs on fast ground last time out at Newcastle but she is back over a mile again tomorrow. She has won over this trip before and this is probably her best trip as long as the ground does not become too soft as that would  test her stamina. She is well drawn in 16 of 16, she likes to be on the outside away from too much trouble as she is not a very big filly. The stands side is usually the best side to be on. She has begun to go in her coat but she had before she ran at Newcastle so if she runs to form she should be thereabouts tomorrow and if she gets a bit of luck in running could win again. She may have one more run at Newbury at the end of the month before a well deserved break. Hopefully she will improve from 3 to 4 years and she will be a nice horse to have in the yard next season.
