FULNEY was pipped on the post at Leicester today finishing second beaten by the narrowest of margins. It was great to see her run a decent race as she had been working well at home. As mentioned on the website before the race, she looks a nice prospect for the future.
SOUTH AFRICAN GOLD runs in a 6 furlong apprentice handicap at Nottingham tomorrow. He found the 5 furlongs at Lingfield too sharp last time out, he will be better suited by a flat 6 furlongs. He seems none the worse for that experience so hopefully he can spring back to form tomorrow. The horse is a straightforward ride for an apprentice and he will be ridden by Matthew Davies who is probably the most experienced rider in the race.
