Wily Fox and Viking Rose chances on Wednesday

Monday, September 26, 2011

Both WILY FOX and VIKING ROSE have been running consistently well all season and both have chances again on Wednesday. WILY FOX heads south for Salisbury where he runs over 1mile 6 furlongs for the first time. He ran a very good race over 1 1/2 miles last time out but definitely looked as if we would stay further. Hopefully the ground will not dry out too much, he has form on fast ground but  would prefer a bit of cut in the ground. His form is very solid so he should put in another good run.

VIKING ROSE heads North to Newcastle where she is dropping back in trip to 7 furlongs, the first time  over this trip as a 3 year old. She has always shown alot of early speed in her races so it seems worth a try dropping her back in distance. The ground looks as if it will be good by Wednesday, James is hoping it will remain on the slow side of good but she goes on any ground. She still seems to be in great form at home so hopefully she will run another good race on Wednesday.
