Iron Condor diverts to Kempton

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

IRON CONDOR was an intended runner at Epsom on Thursday until the weather intervened so he runs at Kempton tomorrow evening instead. He is a course and distance winner there so he has that in his favour but he is 2 pounds worse off on the all weather than he would be on the turf. This means he is running off a rating 13 pounds higher than when he won at Yarmouth last time out. It is a big step up in the weights but he is in very good form and there are only 9 runners tomorrow. He has come out of his last race really well so can hopefully run another big race tomorrow.

DOYENNE DREAM returns to the track at Uttoxeter tomorrow. She has had a break and has summered well. She will be up against it a bit in novice company tomorrow but it was the only suitable race over 2 1/2 miles without travelling too far. Hopefully she will jump well tomorrow and show that she appreciates the step up in trip. This is her first time over this distance over hurdles so it will be interesting to see how she runs. She is a lovely looking filly and she looks the ideal National Hunt type.
