Hope rain stays away for South African Gold

Sunday, September 4, 2011

SOUTH AFRICAN GOLD is an intended runner at Bath tomorrow as long as they don't get too much more rain. if the ground becomes softer than good he will not run. The race is effectively run over 5 1/2 furlongs which should suit him well. If the ground remains on the fast side of good then he is well drawn in stall 1 and he should have a decent chance.

DENTON DANCER  runs at Lingfield on Tuesday in a 6 furlong median auction maiden, his first run since being gelded. He let himself down badly at Windsor last time out, he was very colty and consequently ran no race at all. Hopefully he will behave himself this time and run a decnt race.; 6 furlongs may be a bit on the sharp side for him as he should stay further but the main objective on Tuesday is that he runs a decent race and puts the Windsor run behind him. He will run whatever the ground is but it would be nice to see some rain there as it is quite firm at the moment.
