Viking Rose to continue winning run

Friday, August 26, 2011
VIKING ROSE runs in a mile handicap at Yarmouth on Sunday, she has come out of her recent win at Brighton in good form and has a good chance of winning again. James is hoping the ground is good on Sunday as her best form is on fast ground. She re opposes TINKERBELL WILL, who won the race at Yarmouth when she was second recently. They meet on similar terms again so it will be interesting to see if they finish in the same order this time, they are drawn on opposite sides of the track, VIKING ROSE is drawn 2. There are 16 runners and the other main danger in the race looks to be STRIKE THE DEAL.
STORMING REDD runs on the same card in an apprentice handicap over 10 furlongs, it is his first start this year. His form was very inconsistent last season but he has had a wind operation since then. He does seem a much happier horse at home so it will be interesting to see how he runs on the track. The connections of the horse have persevered with him and it would be nice to see their patience rewarded with some improved form. It looks a moderate race on paper.
