James saddles 4 runners over the next 2 days and they have some decent chances. A BOY NAMED SUZI starts proceedings at Newmarket tomorrow afternoon. He runs in a 12 furlong handicap and there are only 6 runners. He won a median maiden over the same trip at Wolverhampton last time out. Both his previous runs have been over this trip but admittedly neither were run at a strong pace but he should hopefully get the trip at Newmarket. With a small field tomorrow they may not go a strong pace anyway. Any rain that falls would help his chance as ideally he would like it good or good/soft. The horse is working well and improving all the time so he will not disgrace himself tomorrow.
TORRAN SOUND remains over hurdles after his good run finishing second last time out at Uttoxeter. He runs in a 2 mile handicap hurdle at Stratford tomorrow evening. The track should suit him and the blinkers remain on as he ran well in them last time. He doesn't mind any type of going. If he can run up to the form of his last race he should run well.
On Friday SUZI'S A CLASS ACT heads for Nottingham and runs in a 10 furlong 3 year olds only fillies handicap. She was disappointing last time out over 12 furlongs at Newmarket on soft ground. James thought the conditions were ideal for her that day but she just ran a very flat race, there was no obvious explanation. She has been dropped back in trip as she has form over this distance. Hopefully they will get some rain before Friday as the ground there is pretty quick at the moment. It is a competitive race but hopefully she can run her race this time and put her last run behind her.
On Friday evening WILY FOX runs in a 10 furlong handicap at Newmarket. He has had a small break and has come back in great form, he is jumping out of his skin. He worked recently on the turf with some cut in it and relished the underfoot conditions so some rain before Friday would really help his chance. If the ground remains fast he may not be sharp enough over this trip.
