Torran Sound runs the marathon tomorrow

Monday, April 18, 2011
TORRAN SOUND runs in the Pontefract marathon handicap tomorrow over 2 miles 5 furlongs, there are 12 runners. A few less than the London marathon yesterday! This trip should suit him as he has won over 2 miles 2 fulongs before and is a real stayer. He will be carrying a very light weight as he is effectively out of the handicap on 7st 11bs but will be carrying 7st 10lbs as he is ridden by Ryan Powell who claims 5 pounds off the minimum weight of 8st 1lb. TORRAN SOUND was running a big race over hurdles at Exeter last time out when he made a msitake 3 flights from home and pulled some muscles in his hind quarters. He is moving well again now so as long as he is back to his best he should run a big race tomorrow as the ground and trip are ideal for him.
