Seasonal debut for Viking Rose

Sunday, April 10, 2011
VIKING ROSE will make her seasonal debut at Windosr tomorrow evening in a mile maiden fillies race. She ran twice last year as a 2 year old but is bred to improve with age. She ran a promising race at Kempton on the all weather first time out but was a little disappointing next time so she was then put away for the year. She has come to hand early this spring so is ready to run but may find a mile a bit on the short side and she may not be good enough to win a maiden of this calibre over this distance. It looks a strong contest on paper. Hopefully she can run a nice race tomorrow but she is likely to improve over further in time. Daryll Holland  is booked to ride her again as he rode her in her first race and thought she was a nice filly.
