It is a busy weekend for the yard with 4 runners at 3 meetings. KARKY SCHULTZ heads proceedings at Newbury tomorrow in a 2 mile handicap hurdle in which there are 12 runners and he will be ridden by Paddy Brennan again. The trainer is slightly concerned about the ground as KARKY SCHULTZ's best form has been on either heavy or almost good ground, he possible doesn't like it in between. Hopefully it will dry up enough before tomorrow to make it good/soft ground for him. He has been put up 8 pounds by the handicapper for his recent win so it won't be easy for him but he is in good form and should run well again if the ground is in his favour.
GO SET GO heads for Kempton on Saturday to run in the National Hunt flat race there and will be ridden by Michael Murphy. He is also in good form but it could be quite a hot race. He has solid form so should run a decent race depending on the quality of the opposition. He would have preferred softer ground but it looks the right race for him.
On Sunday BAAN and WESTER ROSS are declared to run at Huntingdon and Paddy Brennan has been booked to ride both of them. BAAN has run very well in both his starts over hurdles to date so must have every chance of winning on Sunday. There is a maximum field of 16 runners in his race. WESTER ROSS is not a definite runner at this stage as he needs the ground to dry up, he needs good ground. His last run is best ignored as everything went against him that day, he got left at the start and probably didn't stay on ground he didn't like. He is returning to 2 miles again on Sunday, he has always run well at Huntingdon and is working nicely at home.
The stable is in good form so all 4 runners could run well, let's hope that at least one of them gets lucky!
