IRON CONDOR is all set to make his debut over hurdles at Sandown tomorrow. He runs in a 2 mile juvenile hurdle race and there are 13 runners. It is hard to assess the race as 7 of the runners are newcomers and there are no previous winners in the lineup. IRON CONDOR looks the type to make a lovely horse over jumps and he has schooled nicely at home. The big uncertainty is what his best ground conditions are on the turf, so tomorrow's race is a bit of an exploratory mission in this respect. The grounds there is good at the moment. James is going to rely on the jockey's opinion about the ground for him before deciding what to do with the horse next. If the verdict is that he will be better on quicker ground he will have a break after this run. He is a dual winner over 12 furlongs on the flat so looks an ideal recruit to jumping so it will be interesting to see how he runs tomorrow.
