Marksbury has a good chance of following up her recent Lingfield win when she returns to the track on Wednesday. She was not sold at the sales last week, the owner has retained her to race on through the winter and she may be re offered at the February sale. She has come out of her wonderful victory really well and on the way she won last time she should not be inconvenienced by the extra furlong. She runs in a mile apprentice handicap for apprentices who have not ridden more than 50 winners, she is an ideal ride for these types of races as she is very straightforward. Unfortunately Nathan Allison who ride her last time is banned so Ryan Clark takes over.He is reasonably experienced for this type of race and still claims 3 pounds which is the amount she was put up for her last win so she is effectively running off the same mark. She must have a good chance again on Wednesday.
STORMING REDD runs at Kempton on the same day. He will be wearing a cross noseband and a tongue tie to see if this can improve his racecourse performance. He will also have the aid of sheepskin cheekpieces. He has always worked better at home than he has shown on the racecourse so far. James feels that if one can find the key to him on the racecourse he could be competitive in this grade. He has run over this trip of 12 furlongs before and he should find the surface to his liking.
