Marksbury to make her mark at Lingfield

Monday, November 22, 2010
Marksbury runs in a 'Hands and Heels' Apprentice Series handicap at Lingfield on Wednesday and must have a good chance in a race of this grade. She will be ridden by Nathan Alison who, in the context of this race, is very experienced. She is the ideal type for a race of this kind as she is a very genuine and straightforward ride. She is a filly going the right way, she ran very well last time at Kempton over a mile. She showed plenty of speed that day and seems to be sharpening up with every run. There are 14 runners and she is drawn 9, not the ideal draw but could be worse. It definitely looks a winnable race amnd it would giver her value a boost if she does get her head in front on Wednesday. Her next engagement is at the Newmarket sales a wek on Thursday. James thoroughly recommends her and would be delighted to continue to train her as she is improving with every run.
