IRON CONDOR won narrowly but well at Kempton last night in a mile and a half handicap. His all-weather form had looked very solid and so it proved. He had some luck in running, which he hasn't always had, but essentially came with a very strong run up the inside in the straight and put his head down and ran all the way to the line. This was a very timely win for both the yard and his owner/breeder Harold Nass.
IRON CONDOR's elder half-brother, AT THE MONEY, was sadly retired from racing on Monday. AT THE MONEY has been a stable stalwart for the last 5 years and he will be sorely missed. He may not have been a Group Race contender but we have had no braver horse through the yard in the last 20 years. He gave us all some great days both on the flat and over hurdles.
