Tiger Star to light up Salisbury

Thursday, August 19, 2010
TIGER STAR faces 7 rivals at Salisbury tomorrow evening and it is a competitive race but he is in good heart and should run a decent race. It will be his first time over 12 furlongs on the turf and hopefully the ground will be ideal for him. It is good ground at the moment with 8mm forecast tonight which would make it very good ground. Hayley Turner will be on board and she rode him at Sandown where he ran well for her.
GENEVA GEYSER is going for a big prize at Sandown on Saturday, James is hoping that they don't get any more rain there. He runs in a 50,00 handicap over 10 furlongs. He got in the race easily on a rating of 88 which signifies it is not the hottest race of this type, it maybe because there have been a few similar races recently. Sandown is a front runners track so it should suit him as long as he is as effective going right handed. All his wins have been on left handed tracks but he was only beaten a head at Windsor which is right handed. He won't necessarily make the running on Saturday and will be happy to sit second, Australia Day is a renowned frontrunner and it would be unwise to take him on. GENEVA GEYSER will have to be at his best to win on Saturday as the highest rating he has won off is 84 and he is running on a 4 pound higher mark than this. He is in good form so hoping for the best.
