GENEVA GEYSER ran a great race in defeat last night at Windsor. He was beaten a short head by Abergavenny, an unexposed 3 year old of Mark Johnston's. GENEVA GEYSER was giving the winner a stone and 5 pounds and he only just failed to give the weight away. He possibly was slightly caught out by the configuration of the racecourse at Windsor. He seemed to get a little bit lost when crossing the intersection both times and on a normally configured track, with a rail to follow all the way, he might well have prevailed. It is great to see him back to form and credit is due to all involved with him He not only ran a fine race but he also won the "best turned out" prize when running exactly 48 hours after winning at Nottingham.
