Orcadian takes a break

Monday, November 15, 2004

It has been decided that ORCADIAN is to have a break now rather than campaigning abroad. He will return to his owners stud for the winter and his first target next spring will be the John Porter Stakes at Newbury.

The all weather team are in action this week. CHIGORIN is running tomorrow at Lingfield in a 10 furlong maiden race. It does not look a particularly strong contest on paper so he has an each way chance. MISTER AZIZ runs on Friday over the short trip of 5 furlongs. He clearly did not stay 7 furlongs last week so hopefully the drop back in trip will see him put up an improved performance. His best turf form was at Sandown over the minimum trip.

MISSED TURN has a choice of engagements this week but she is most likely to run at either Wolverhampton or Lingfield on Saturday. ANDURIL is also entered at Wolverhampton on Saturday but he could wait for another race at Southwell on Tuesday, both races are selling races over a mile.
