TIGER STAR has his first run of the season at Nottingham tomorrrow in a 10 furlong median auction maiden. He has been working nicely at home and should run a decent race tomorrow and has a good chance of winning. He is still fairly immature though and should keep improving as the season goes on. There is a slight worry that the ground could be a bit on the fast side for him. He is half brother to Rapscallion and Orcadian who both showed their best form on soft ground. He is an interesting runner and is hopefully a horse to follow this season.
WESTER ROSS also has a good chance on Sunday at Stratford. The handicapper, rather annoyingly, put him up 3 pounds for his recent second but he will be ridden by Alex Merriam who still claims 3 pounds. He has got top weight but he is a big horse and is well capable of carrying it. The track and the ground, which is being watered, should suit him.
IRON CONDOR heads for Pontefract on Monday. He runs in a 12 furlong 3 year old handicap. He is a half brother to At The Money so stamina will not be a problem and the track should also suit him. The ground is a slight unknown but he is a good actioned horse so will hopefully be not as ground dependant as At The Money was.
