War Artist prepared for World Cup night

Wednesday, March 24, 2010
WAR ARTIST seems in good form for his bid to win the Group 3 Al Quoz on World Cup night at Meydan this Saturday. The race is over a straight 6 furlongs on the turf which should really suit him. He ran a little below par in his last race and it seems he had a slight respiratory problem. He coughed a few times after the race and his blood was slightly wrong. He also lost quite alot of weight but he has put that back on now. 10 days ago James Eustace was rather pessimistic about his chances but he has really come back to himself now and can hopefully run a big race on Saturday. It is obviously a very competitive race and on ratings he comes out joint 5th. He has the advantage of  already being a winner at Meydan  and with a bit of luck in running he should be thereabouts. It is just great for all the connections of the horse to have a runner on this big night in Dubai. Having already won a race the trip has been worthwhile, to finish in the frame on Saturday would be the icing on the cake.
