Karky Schultz battles to victory

Monday, February 1, 2010
KARKY SCHULTZ battled his way to victory at Uttoxeter on Saturday despite an untidy jump at the final hurdle. He is such a tough and genuine horse and he thoroughly deserved this win after some solid performances this winter. It was great that his owners, Harold Nass and Robert Abel, were there to enjoy this victory. It was just reward for the patience they have shown. It looked as if James Eustace was going to have a double as WINTER FEVER finished a very close fourth in his race. He may make a quick reappearance at Wolverhampton on Thursday in a 9 furlong 11,000 guaranteed conditions race. There are only 10 entries and he seems to have come out of his race well so is very likely to take his chance there.
There are only 3 horses in the yard in full training at the moment. The third horse is WESTER ROSS and he has an entry at Leicester on Wednesday. He seems in good form at home so he will probably run there providing the meeting gets the go ahead. There are no other suitable races for him for the next 2 weeks so he might take his chance whilst the horses are in such good form.
