SALDEN LICHT carries top weight in the 10 furlong handicap at Newbury tomorrow. He ran well over a mile at Salisbury last time out and the step up in trip should suit him. James Eustace was hoping for softer ground as the softer the better for him. At the moment the going is good but there is a chance of some further rain which would help his cause.
On Monday TURKISH LOKUM runs at Kempton over 7 furlongs. if she runs as well as she has done in her last 2 races she would have a winning chance. The only slight reservation is that it is her first time on this track, all her previous all weather form as been at Wolverhampton. Her next engagement will be at the Horses In Training Sale in Newmarket on Thursday.
