Freedom Fire drops back in trip

Sunday, October 11, 2009
FREEDOM FIRE drops back to a mile at Kempton tomorrow afternoon but this should not inconvenience him. He ran well last time out over 10 furlongs but showed plenty of speed that day and he has a chance of improving on that run. The likely favourite, La Gifted, runs today so has to be a doubtful runner. Without her FREEDOM FIRE must have a chance. He has come on from his last run and is in good form at home.
SALDEN LICHT has a harder task at Salisbury tomorrow. He runs in a competitive handicap but he has been pleasing in his work at home and will like the ground. He is a Listed winner over 9 furlongs and has always looked as if he will stay further at home so a mile but be too sharp for him. You could see him stepping up in trip next time.
