James Eustace is having a big raid on Yarmouth this week.He starts off with 3 runners there tomorrow. He hopes the ground will stay on the soft side of good for all of them. IRON CONDOR, a half brother to AT THE MONEY by Tobougg, makes his racecourse debut. He is a big horse for a 2 year old and his future really lies in staying races as an older horse. He is very like AT THE MONEY was at the same stage and really needs a run now mentally, so that he knows what racing is all about. 7 furlongs on slower ground should play to his strengths as if stamina comes into play he could run a nice race. He won't be over raced this year as he will hopefully develop into a nice staying horse for the future.
KARKY SCHULTZ runs in the 12 furlong handicap and this trip should be ideal for him. he appeared not to stay 2 miles last time out and when he won over 11 furlongs he looked as if another furlong would suit him. Hopefully William Carson will be able to get him settled as he is at his best when settled in behind and allowed to come through horses.
PENPERTH completes the trio tomorrow. She has always looked as if she will stay at home so is running over 10 furlongs tomorrow. On breeding, she is by the sprinter XAAR, you wouldn't expect her to necessarily but she has always looked as if she will so let's hope this is the key to her. She will also be wearing a pear of blinkers as she is inclined to down tools if things aren't going her way in a race. Hopefully the trip and blinkers will combine to good effect tomorrow.
Finally WAR ARTIST has come out of his race at Newbury yesterday well and James Eustace was delighted with his run. It was great to get him back on the racecourse. He showed really good speed but just got tired on the testing ground inside the final furlong. He finished fourth but was not beaten too far.
