South African Gold makes debut at Windsor

Sunday, July 12, 2009
SOUTH AFRICAN GOLD makes his racecourse debut in a 6 furlong maiden at Windsor tomorrow evening. He has been working nicely and is the most forward of the 2 year olds at home. He seems fairly professional in his work so should run a decent race. It does look quite a hot race on paper though. He will need the experience of tomorrow's race but looks capable of winning a maiden in the future. Unfortunately Luke Morris, his intended jockey, broke his collarbone at Newbury on Saturday. We wish him a speedy recovery. Micky Fenton gets the leg up tomorrow and will be picking up some more rides for the yard during Luke's absence.
