Roleplay goes close at Wolverhampton

Tuesday, July 7, 2009
ROLEPLAY ran a great race this afternoon at Wolverhampton finishing second. She was very outpaced in the early stages and was last coming into the final bend. She got a good run up the inner and passed all bar the winner. This run suggests she is well capable of winning over 7 furlongs. She is due to go through the sales at Newmarket on Thursday and looks a definite winner in the making for someone.
There are 2 runners tomorrow. Firstly BABAJAGA makes her racecourse debut at Lingfield on the turf in a 6 furlong maiden auction stakes. She was a purchase from the breeze up sales. It doesn't look the strongest race on paper so it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if she ran well. She has been working OK at home but is the sort who should improve for a run.
In the evening KHARKY SCHULTZ returns to Kempton and will be running over 2 miles for the first time on the flat. He stays 2 mile 2 furlongs over hurdles so this trip on the polytrack should not be beyond him. He should have a chance.
