Glorious Goodwood next step for Geneva Geyser

Sunday, July 5, 2009
James Eustace is hoping that after GENEVA GEYSER'S win at Redcar last week he will make the cut at Goodwood. He put up a very gutsy performance last Thursday to lead most of the way. He was headed briefly in the home straight but battled back tenaciously. He handles fast ground well and hopefully his next race will be the 10 furlong 3 year olds only handicap on the Thursday of the big Goodwood meeting later this month.
On Tuesday ROLEPLAY has her last run at Wolverhampton before a date at the Newmarket sales on Thursday. She showed plenty of speed on her comeback run at Yarmouth over 7 furlongs so the drop back to 6 furlongs should not inconvenience her. She has definitely come on from her recent run so could run well. She is a nice broodmare prospect for someone as she has a good pedigree. She is by the successful sire Singspiel from the family of Time Charter.
